For the first time ever, Coles has partnered with Airbnb launching a “money-saving hack” to get cheaper accommodation.
It is now selling Airbnb eGift Cards at 15 per cent off, which means you can get 15 per cent off your Airbnb booking by using the gift card.
The conditions are that it only applies to variable load cards bought online at www.giftcards.com.au, and there is a limit of loading up to $500 at a time to a maximum order value of $1000.
However, there are no card fees and no limit on how many transactions a customer can make.
“This is the first time Coles has partnered with Airbnb to offer customers a discounted gift card and get some instant savings on their accommodation,” Coles general manager for health and home Deb Galle told news.com.au.
“It’s also the first time anyone can get as much as 15 per cent off on Airbnb short stays in Australia.”
She said with the rising cost of living, a family holiday can feel like a luxury for Australians at the moment and hoped this meant people’s holiday budgets could go further.
“We know Aussies will be planning their holidays and short stays in the lead-up to Easter and school holidays so there’s a chance now to get instant cash back by purchasing a discounted gift card first,” she said.
The offer is only available for a limited time.
Meanwhile, according to TripAdvisor’s Seasonal Travel Index (March-May 2023) most Aussies (72 per cent) plan to travel domestically this autumn with the most popular Easter destinations across Australia.
Sydney topped the list followed by Melbourne, Adelaide and Surfers Paradise.
